February 2026 Development Update
Our biggest release yet: Team Racing v2, with match racing brackets, live scoring, and a lot of polish around it.
Team Racing v2
This release, our first production deploy since early January, was headlined by Team Racing v2 — a full module for running team racing and match racing events end to end: team registration, sailor invitations, roster and staff management (admins, scorers, umpires), live scoring, standings, and Stripe-based billing for team events.
Match racing brackets (quarterfinals through finals) were added, along with a mock-regatta generator organizers can use to preview the format before running a real event. Standings were reworked to show wins as points rather than a confusing point differential, with configurable points-per-win and carry-forward scoring options. Mobile layouts for team-racing scoring and event cards were improved, and event-type badges (Fleet / Team Racing / Match Racing) now appear on admin lists so it’s clear at a glance what kind of event you’re looking at.
Also new this release
A new in-app notification bell delivers real-time updates. The protest system gained attachment uploads and support for printed protest forms. And the login page picked up a “Learn more” button linking visitors to the marketing site.
Behind the scenes
Permission checks — who can edit what — were re-enabled with caching after being temporarily relaxed for testing, and unused sensitive Stripe credential storage was removed. Neither change is visible day-to-day, but both matter for account security.
March and April were quiet on the release front — no changes shipped to production in either month — before development picked back up in May.
