January 2026 Development Update

A smaller, focused update: faster bulk uploads, a friendlier error screen, and a couple of reliability fixes.

Faster bulk entry uploads

Uploading a CSV of entries used to process one row at a time. It now processes in parallel chunks, cutting a 100-entry upload from roughly 20–30 seconds down to 2–4 seconds, with a “Refreshing entries…” indicator so organizers can see the table is still updating. We also fixed a bug where newly uploaded entries wouldn’t appear in the entries table for up to two minutes due to caching — the table now refreshes immediately after upload — and upload results now show which entries were already processed if you need to resume an upload. A crash during bulk upload, caught through our error monitoring, was also fixed.

A friendlier error screen

If something goes wrong in the app, you no longer see a generic “Something went wrong.” A full-page branded error screen now offers Refresh Page and Go Back buttons, plus an inline support form — pre-filled with your email — so you can report the issue to us directly on the spot. Diagnostic details are captured automatically behind a collapsible section, so you don’t need to describe the technical details yourself.

Also fixed

A bug where creating a regatta through the API could silently drop fleet setup data has been resolved.
